1973: Bruce cancels a scheduled show at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.

1977: Bruce holds a recording session for his next album at The Record Plant in New York City. Also today, he drops by Robert Gordon’s recording session at nearby Radio City Music Hall to gift Gordon with “Fire” and play piano on the recorded track.

1978: The Darkness Tour enters into its final month with a show at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. If you’re a fan of the tour arrangement of “Prove It All Night,” this is your show–the epic intro is the longest ever.

1980: Bruce and the E Street Band play their second of two River Tour nights at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh.

1989: Bruce records “Trouble in Paradise” at Soundworks West in Los Angeles.

2007: Bruce ushers in the season when he tour premieres “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” at his Magic show in Arnhem.

2011: Bruce joins Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band on stage at their Madison Square Garden show, joining them in “Old Time Rock and Roll."

2014: U2 performs in Times Square for World AIDS Day, but Bono is out of action following a bike accident last month. Bono’s buddies come to the rescue: Bruce and Chris Martin each take a turn fronting the band, with Bruce taking point on “Where the Streets Have No Name” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For."

2016: Bruce continues his promotional book tour, stopping in Austin to meet fans at BookPeople.

2018: Springsteen on Broadway enters the final month of its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.
