On this day in Springsteen history: The Tunnel of Love Express Tour kicks off, the E Street Band plays their last concert to date, the inspiration for one of Bruce’s most controversial songs, and a whole lot more.

I’ve never been more surprised and impressed by an American crowd than I was at this show in Greensboro, and I’ll never pass up the chance to see Bruce play there again.
